The temple has a green canopy and there is a huge banyan tree in the temple compound. Bhagavati is worshipped here.Notta swamikal( incarnation of shiva ) worshipped ( Upasana) the diety . And the goddess became happy and blessed him with her presence in the temple. There are lot of peral trees in the temple. The temple melshanthi is very kind and he has good knowledge about the temple.

Festival season is in March.

Mayannur Pooram is an annual event celebrated at the Kurumba Bhagavathy Temple in Kondazhy. It is also known as Mayannur Kavu (the temple is believed to be over 1000 years old) and the presiding deity here is the Mother Goddess Bhagavathy. The festival is celebrated to pay obeisance to the Goddess and seek her blessings for prosperity and well-being. The celebrations commence on the Punartham asterism in the Malayalam month of Meenam and last for 10 days. Thousands of people throng the temple premises to offer prayers and participate in the rituals observed during the festivities.

Pooram is the major festival celebrated in this temple. The festival is celebrated on the day when the moon rises with pooram star in the Malayalam month of Medam. ‘Moorthiyaatom’ on the eve of Pooram (Valiyaarattu) is the unique feature of this temple. Vela is before the star Pooram in the month of Makara. Pooram starts on 1st Kumbha with the hoisting of the temple flag. Vishuvilakku is celebrated on 1st of Medom. Laksharchana is performed permanently in the month of Karkitaka. Karthika Vilakku is celebrated in the month of Vrichika during the star Karthika, with various programmes .

Rituals at Thirunavaya Temple
The highly regarded ritual 'Pithru Tharpanam' or appeasement of the souls of the elders or those who have gone from the Earth is most significant. This specialized ritual takes place on the New Moon Night or Amavasi during the month of 'Karkitaka' or July.
Thirunavaya History

Thirunavaya is an important place for Hindus due to the presence of the 6000-year-old Nava Mukunda temple, on the banks of the Bharathapuzha. The main deity of the temple is Lord Vishnu (Hindu god). Thousands come here to perform rituals to propitiate the souls of their deceased near and dear ones. From ancient times Thirunavaya was known throughout India as a centre of excellence for Vedic teachings, with Veda Paadda Saalas .The last and major renovation with the reconstruction of Sanctum Sanctorum was done by the legendary PERUMTHACHAN under the direction of the Vettath Raja about 1300 years back.

Pitru Tharpanam or Thithi or Pinda pradhanam

This temple is famous for pitru tharpanam. Like most of the temples in Kerala, One has to pay charges at the ticket counter which is hardly less than 100 rupees, And dip in the river(clothes the male needs to wear is mundu or dhoti or veshti) and in the wet clothes offer the tharpanam. All the ritual pooja items will be provided by the temple. After the ritual is complete, the wet clothes have to be changed. The temple strictly does not allow pants or other non Indian wear. Strictly men have to be in dhoti and their shirts removed.

The Triprangode Siva temple is one of the oldest Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. It has also been mentioned in the "Uddanta Sanstrikal" dating from the 15th century.

It is situated on the side of fields known as 'Vellottu padam', facing west. spreads over a vast area of around 6 acres, with many sub-shrines, trees and ponds.
